Downwelling Stokes Vectors distance

Thanks for developing such a comprehensive tool!

I am trying to compute the Stokes vectors for the downwelling light field under the water surface as a function of sun azimuth and elevation. I'm wondering if there is a way to choose the distance under the surface for computation of the light field. I can get (down 0-) and at the ocean floor, but it would be great to choose the depth. Is this possible using the sensor object?

Hello, and many thanks for your interest in our tool !

Unfortunately it is currently not possible to get the light field at intermediate depths. We plan that for a next release.
One possible implementation would be, as you have seen, to use the Sensor object in backward mode and to place it at the desired depth. This works well in the atmosphere, but there is a remaining issue in the water which we will fix as soon as possible. We will keep you informed when this is done.
