i use ubuntu 8GB RAM, but processing is killed. How can I deal with this error?

I have checked the memory usage with Landsat, and indeed it seems to peak at 11 Gb. However, the memory usage is most of the time much below, around 3Gb.
8 Gb is a bit tight, especially if this includes a desktop environment. How much swap do you have ? With 8 Gb swap, you should be able to run it.
