Bug report: GMAO_FP ancillary data, inconsistent pressure units
Bug report Surface pressure is in millibars/hectopascals for previous NASA ancillary data sets, but in GMAO GEOS-5 FP-IT ancillary data files, the pressure unit is in pascals (1 mbar = 1 hPa = 100 Pa). Polymer v.4.16 doesn't do the conversion to millibars while it loads GMAO_FP ancillary data, whic...

Re: OLCI HDF5 error
Seems to be a problem with libnetcdf v.4.9.1, which is bundled with Python package netcdf4>=1.6.2. Downgrading netcdf4 to 1.6.1 or below gets rid of the messages. See e.g., https://github.com/SciTools/iris/issues/5187 https://github.com/Unidata/netcdf4-python/issues/1242 https://github.com/Unidata/n...

Re: S2 SAFE files output no geospatial info
As far as I know, the output has the same reference grid as the input (possibly resampled). The lat/lon bands are filled in by Polymer and are based on retrieving the UTM grid coordinates from the scene metadata and transforming those into longitudes and latitudes.

What does bbs represent?
Hi, When the default water model is used (Park & Ruddick 2005), what does the Polymer's output band bbs actually represent? It is named bbs (backscattering coefficient of suspended solids) in the output without any band description, but it is being optimized in the value range −3 ... 3. However, neg...

MSI / shift in Rw spectral levels starting in 2022
Hi! We have been using Polymer 4.13 for the retrieval of R rs spectra (especially at the green wavelength) from Sentinel-2 MSI and Sentinel-3 OLCI data over the Baltic Sea. In previous years, Rrs @ 560 nm on MSI and OLCI from Polymer have always had comparable values, but starting from 2022, we are ...
